Trip to Olbia

Early in the morning on 11/26/06 the trip to Olbia/Sardinia began. But actually it began the day before, because Stefan had to travel to Stuttgart first. However, for it was Stefan's birthday, Andreas, the tire and Stefan got up after a two-hours night to catch a tram to the airport. After Andi started some troubles with some liquid in his backpack, we finally caught the flight at 7:05 am to the south. When we had arrived, we found a bus to the center of Olbia. Having been arrived there, the real fun started: sceptical looking people, benches which actually weren't useful and so on. After we wandered around for some time, we found a straying Husky. First it was quite amusing but after a while we tried to get rid of it - unsuccessfully. The situation turned really threatening when four more straying dogs were running towards us. 'Our' dog sadly just showed the white feather. Well, we all understand that. We tried several times to uncouple the dog, but we had no luck. Finally we got to know that he wasn't that much attached to Andi because he left him when we met a young boy and his mother. After a short visit to the Simplizius-Basilica where they had service, we had a short impression of the city. Sadly we didn't have the opportunity to eat pizza because it was Sunday and almost every restaurant was closed. Thereafter we wanted to go swimming in the sea, but at that time we did not know that the bus runs just three times a day and because of that we took the bus to the airport for the time being to ask a taxi to bring us to the coast. Surprisingly, we denied the taxi-driver's offer to round-trip us for 50 ?. Finally, we decided to try to walk to the beach as far as we could in the last 1,5 hours. During our flight back to Stuttgart we tried to relax a little and after a short nap we were back to Germany.
